MWP Vol.2 Multimedia CD Contents

Source.mid - Contains 3 folders of midi songs. They are categorized by speed - fast, medium and slow. There are a variety of styles such as reggae, pop, techno, heavy, country, lullaby, etc. Some of the tracks were created from the ground up and some were built by taking advantage of the templates available from various midi creation programs. When you encounter files that have almost identical names, except for their trailing number, the differences may be in arrangement, length or volume. Volume levels do vary slightly between tracks but not that much.

Source.WAV - Contains a folder called Music which contains 3 folders of WAV files in a variety of music styles. They are categorized by speed - fast, medium and slow. Most sounds are 22Khz 16 bit mono sound as this seems to be the most popular multimedia format (smallest size possible without sacrificing sound quality). There are a variety of styles such as pop, techno, easy listening, etc. All tracks were created from the ground up without aid of song templates. Looping - Try looping any of the sounds as many were edited so that they could be seamlessly looped - a real time and space saver for you.

Buttons - Found under the Source.WAV folder, contains the up and down states for 46 buttons. Each pair of buttons is clearly marked with an "up" or a "dn" in its file name for identification. Experiment by reversing the up/down button states. Many sounds are in stereo. Windows users should open the included source code Authorware file called Buttons.a4p found in the Z_Aware.ie folder. It's a Button Sampler. Just Cut and Paste into your project.

SoundEff - Found under the Source.WAV folder, contains many sound effects. Many in stereo.

Jingles - Found under the Source.WAV folder, contains jingles, which are not to be distributed in any programs. They are examples of custom work that is available. You may contact songman@songman.com or visit the web site at www.songman.com. Depending on the complexity of the custom jingle you may want, costs vary between $450 - $1,500 each. Trades are welcome.

Words and Phrases for Training - Found under the Source.WAV folder. Download (right click) or View (left click) document Words20.doc for a complete listing of the words and phrases you'll find on the CD. Alternately you may view a complete listing of the words and phrases you'll find on the CD by clicking the underlined text links in the sentence below. They are organized by category under each of 7 character types - Male, Female.001, Female.002, Robot Male, Robot Female, Valley Girl, Cartoon. Categories include, alphabet, colors, days of the week, errors, forms, geometry, greetings, internet, login/logoff phrases, mail, measurements, money, months, mouse movements, names, numbers, printing, real audio, time, talking tooltips, training, trinonometry/algebra, wait and silly. Put together your own sentences from these popular phrases. Present math problems. Launch a verbal countdown. The possibilities are endless. Some examples are built for you in the folder Z_Aware.ie.

Use and License - These sound clips may be used royalty free. However, when any piece on this disk is used on a program that is distributed (sold or free) you must give credit in the credits portion of your program to the artist - joe e. daddario. You may edit and down-sample the material on this disk freely. If you edit a sound to the point where it is no longer recognizable as the original work (use your good judgment), you may call it your own but you must still credit joe e. daddario in the credits portion of your program as creating the source file.

JASC Media Center - Found under the MW&P_2.0 folder, contains jmc202.exe, a shareware Media Manager.
